Posted in Uncategorized

This month’s symposium will be the first of our Mellon Faculty Research Awards from CEF in 2021, presented by Jon Bellona (Music), Bailey Hilgren (Environmental Studies), and Lucas Silva (Geography).

Their workSoundscapes of Socioecological Succession, explores different embankments along the McKenzie River valley and the regeneration of human and ecological systems in the aftermath of the Holiday Fire, including the often intermingled sounds of communities rebuilding, non-human life thriving, scientific observation, and the complex interactions between these.

Learn more about their project here.

Join us Friday, December 3rd, in the Lease-Crutcher-Lewis Room (Rm 23) in the EMU from 10:30-12 pm.
