The 2021 Emerald Earth Film Festival will take place virtually from April 17-24. The following films reflect this year’s theme, “Toxins“, and will be available for streaming on demand:

April 19, 12-1pm: Conversation with the Filmmakers of Painted Nails, Erica Jordan and Dianne Griffin, facilitated by Rachael Lee, PhD candidate in English at UO, and Miliann Kang, Associate Professor of WGS studies at University of Massachusetts-Amherst and author of The Managed Hand: Race, Gender and the Body in Beauty Service Work (2010).
April 20, 12-1pm: Conversation with the Filmmaker of East LA Interchange, Betsy Kalin, facilitated by John Arroyo, Assistant Professor of Planning, Public Policy, and Management at UO, and Carla Macal, PhD Candidate in Geography at UO.
April 21, 11am-12pm: Conversation with the Filmmaker of Around Crab Orchard, Sarah Kanouse, facilitated by Emily Eliza Scott, Assistant Professor of Art History at UO.
