The Outdoor Program has committed $20,000 in the 2021-2022 school year to getting underrepresented student groups outside, financial barrier-free, on all-inclusive affinity trips! These trips are coming to a peak at our Redefining Outdoorsy Summit. The goal of this summit is to educate UO students about diversity, equity, and inclusion in the outdoors and learn more about different folk’s experiences outside. We will have three keynote speakers and a variety of student facilitators throughout the day, all speaking on a variety of different topics surrounding diversity in the outdoors. The conference is free for students to attend! A light breakfast will be provided along with a break for lunch in the middle of the day. Details on the schedule will be emailed to participants ahead of time.
