The Sustainability Fellows program is now accepting applications for the 2022-23 cohort. The application deadline is 11:59pm Sunday April 3, 2022.
The Sustainability Fellows Program supports faculty in developing robust pedagogy for community-engaged learning and student research, as well as doing participatory action research (PAR). They are funded as part of the PNW Just Futures Institute, in partnership with the Center for Environmental Futures and others. The fellowship is a competitive award that provides financial and programmatic support. Fellows will connect with community partners and a network of colleagues across disciplines and rank. We are pleased to offer fellowships to 10 faculty this year: 8-9 from the University of Oregon and 1-2 from Heritage University in Toppenish, WA.
Up to ten faculty receive a $500 award after completing the Sustainability Fellows workshop, June 13-15, 2022. Through discussions, site visits, and guest presentations, the workshop will help fellows develop partnerships with local agencies and organizations and engaged deeply with pedagogy and teaching that is inclusive, engaged, and research-led.
